Heather is a licensed and certified athletic trainer in the state of Georgia, holding a degree in Athletic Training and a minor in dance from Grand Valley State University. Her career began as the head athletic trainer for the Grand Rapids Ballet, where she spent five seasons. In 2021, Heather was recruited to Fayetteville, Georgia, to provide athletic training services for film and movie sets and touring Broadway Shows. She joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2023, tasked with expanding their Dance Medicine program and outreach in Fayette County, as well as covering gymnastics and other club sports events. Today, Heather is the owner and operator of Reel Care, LLC- Athletic Training, where she leverages her expertise to support stunt performers, actors, and performing artists. Currently, Heather is a member of the Performing Arts Athletic Trainers Society (PAATS), International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS), and has recently accepted a role on the COPA Entrepreneurship Panel.
